Women’s Wellness Tea

If you’re feeling stressed, it could be more than just the mounding Christmas to-do list. I learned recently that cold weather stress can cause a large array of issues in women that dramatically increases the stress we feel during this busy season. Cold temperatures force the body to spend more time warming up and less time digesting and fighting infection. One of my favorite ways to combat any health issues that come up in the winter season is to drink a homemade wellness tea with ingredients tailored to my needs. I chose each ingredient to address weight loss, bloating, digestion, gut health, immunity, and UTI prevention.

Women’s Wellness Tea Recipe

Ingredients

  • 40oz hot water

  • 2 slices of lemon

  • 2 slices of orange

  • 1 tbs sencha green tea

  • 3-4 whole cloves

  • 1 cinnamon stick

  • 1 handful of fresh cranberries

Instructions

  • Let you water come to a boil.

  • Combine all ingredients in your steeper and let steep for 5-10 minutes. Strain before drinking. Add honey if desired.
    *Note: I store my cranberries in the freezer and take them out as needed.
