My Christmas Tablescape

We sit down as a family for dinner every night, I make a point of it. So, to make Christmas dinner feel like the special event that it is I like to put a lot of thought behind my tablescape. Combining more moody colors with cheerful pops of greenery reflects the way the holiday season makes us feel in the cold winter months. I took a couple of my ideas from holidays past to give you some inspiration. Setting the scene for a warm dinner with family and friends is one of my favorite things to do as a hostess.

A Classic Christmas

Sometimes classic is best. For the greenery I stayed within bounds of the traditional red and green to keep things holly and jolly. But, I added some height and depth with these gold candlesticks and dark colored candles. This brought such warmth to the room at night with all of the candles lit. I linked some similar options below!

An Italian Christmas

I always think it’s a good idea to add your own touch to something. Last Christmas I went with a more traditional Italian feel with since both my husband and I have Italian roots, and I loved it! May not be traditional but was definitely a favorite and most of the items were thrifted!
